Electronic Medical Records Analyst

Nemours owns and operates the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE, as well as four major Children's specialty centers in Wilmington, Jacksonville, Orlando, and Pensacola.

The Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, with a long-established and excellent reputation in pediatric health care, draws a broadly diverse patient population. The hospital, supported in part through an endowment from the Nemours Foundation, continues to grow both regionally and nationally and is the tertiary care center for pediatrics within the Jefferson Health System.

We are looking for energetic, talented and bright individual who are eager to help Nemours and the Electronic Medical Records Team take another step forward with our EpicCare in enhancing and optimizing both users and the system.

Analysts will have multiple responsibilities that include but are not limited to the following:

1. Educate and train individuals on Epic Care in both one-on-one and group settings.

2. Analyze current workflows and processes in clinic settings to enhance patient care, patient safety and staff productivity.

3. Support the users as front line support and through Help Desk activities during the standard business day.

4. Participate in the evaluation, testing and validation of new system functionality as well as the development of reports and electronic interfaces.

5. Utilize standard Project Management methodologies including preparing project documentation, timelines and updates.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

We are looking for applicants to have demonstrated experience in health care information management, information systems and/or clinical backgrounds. Associate degree required, Bachelor degree preferred.

Epic Care Certification desired otherwise applicant would be expected to obtain certification by attending courses at Epic Systems (Madison, WI) as a Nemours employee.
