Principal duties include: Applying written standard procedures and working technical knowledge to the preventive or simple corrective maintenance of systems. Using common tools to gain access to components for cleaning or repair.
Recording maintenance actions on appropriate forms. Assisting high level technicians by taking test readings, replacing components, etc. Operating complex test and measurement equipment for instrumentation calibration. 

 

Final grade determination will be made based on qualifications of the selected candidate.


The following are the Basic Qualifications for the position:

High School diploma and 4 years of related education and/or experience
Compartmentalized top secret clearance
Uses complex test and measurement equipment such as network analyzers, digital oscilloscopes, signal generators, frequency meters or spectrum analyzers to identify and isolate unusual system faults or malfunctions
Repairs or replaces circuits as needed
Applying written standard procedures and working technical knowledge to the preventive or corrective maintenance of systems
Performs additional duties as requested
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Experience in the following areas is an asset:

Lean manufacturing experience
Six Sigma experience
Automated testing experience
Field installation experience
