Job Description:

Embedded/Real-time Software Engineer to design and program seismic data acquisition systems on various hardware systems.

 

Experience/Skills Required:

 

Essential Functions:Design, development and testing of embedded applications that meet user requirements in a timely fashionWork closely with hardware engineering teams and individualsEffective working on multiple projects in parallelAdvancing product lines through innovation and motivationComfortable in a team orientated environment using Extreme Programming methodology

 

Minimum Essential Requirements:BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent fieldsDemonstrated, extensive knowledge of C/C++Minimum 5 years experience on embedded, multi-threaded, real-time applicationsExperience in supporting full product life-cycle

 

Preferred skills:Distributed systems experienceEmbedded device development experienceUnderstanding Raw Ethernet and low-level messaging constructsUML design, in particular State-Chart development in embedded systemsKnowledge of scientific instruments and the measurement of physical quanititiesUnderstanding of signal analysis and related mathReal-time operating system experience
