End to End Data Manager

Summary of Responsibilities The End to End (E2E) QA Data Manager possesses a high degree of subject matter expertise & analytical / technical expertise as it relates to large scale integrations & program management. The E2E QA Data Manager is expected to plan & manage data for large scale (25-60 systems) integration solutions across multiple time zones with minimal direction or guidance. The position is a mobile one; at any time, a need for travel may exist. The E2E QA Data Manager will work on highly visible projects & must be able to interact at many levels of the organization (PM, QA Manager, Program Manager, Director & AVP levels). This position requires close attention to detail. Problem Solving: Due to the nature, pace and complexity of the work performed, the E2E Data Manager regularly encounters new or unique problems that he/she must work to resolve in an appropriate manner. The E2E Data Manager requires 'out of the box' thinking.Principal Responsibilities -Manage Data across multiple teams; assess impact of change & dependencies; manage conflicts proactively; escalate issues appropriately; communicate progress to management

-Consistently define environment loaded & test case mapped data; manage input criteria/expected output & expected results

-Manage E2E Data Matrix across projects, iterations & logical days

-Walkthrough E2E testing deliverables to insure agreement & expected results

-Drive data management-insure accuracy of data, reduce rework & insure timely completion of cycles

-Insure timely follow up; escalate blocking issues as they surface; anticipate problems & develop contingency plans throughout the project life cycle

-Analyze, implement & maintain tools for managing data across customer groups

-Apply strategic solutions for key processes; assess processes & identify improvements

-Cost justify choices & provide quantifiable metrics to measure improvementRequired Competencies General Leadership:

>Work with partners to scope, analyze, plan & execute E2E Data Management across multiple projects

Test Data Planning / Execution:

>Identify required data elements and values to meet test objectives for each business process that flows through multiple systems. Provide 100% coverage on standard processes. Document out of scope processes with rationale

>Identify inter-dependent test cases & document test approach, test plan & data flows

>Plan, drive & communicate detailed processing progress throughout the life cycle

>Create & generate reports to communicate data management metrics at a detailed & summary levels: Data element changes per logical day, Data Management health across multiple projects

Extensive application technology experience:

>Demonstrate proficiency in data management; technical understanding of Data Analysis tools & techniques required.

>Possess advanced working knowledge of Data Management & Quality Assurance tools & techniques. This may include, but is not limited to: Data Definition across multiple applications, Data Loading Processes & Change Control, Test Strategy, Data Flow Diagrams/Data Models, Impact Analysis, Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Execution, Defect Management & Reporting. Tools: SQL, Irwin, Data Reporting Tools, Access, MS Project, Word, Visio, Powerpoint, Test Director & other QA tools. Solid understanding of: Requirements, Use Cases, Design Artifacts, Physical Architecture Diagrams, etc.

>Utilize knowledge of the customer-s business functions & processes in order to design appropriate solutions.

>Integrate information from multiple sources to create a complete picture of the situation.

>Conceive, plan, & implement original approaches to define project objectives & solve complex problems of diverse scope, taking into consideration constraints which may exist with software, hardware & resources.

>Adjust to changes in technology, environment, management, work team, etc.

Freedom to Act:

The E2E Data Manager must meet business objectives while working within established parameters (e.g., equipment, budget, timeframe, etc.) as agreed upon by IT management & business unit customers. The E2E Data Manager has ownership within his/her defined projects/tasks. The E2E Data Manager will proactively discuss & resolve resource issues, time constraints, or other issues that prohibit the completion of his/her projects/tasks. If there is a conflict or issue that he/she is unable to resolve, he/she should escalate the issue immediately to his/her manager.
