The Engineer, Quality Management Senior provides technical leadership to team of other Quality Management Engineers by establishing testing protocols, standards and methods, as well as assigning and evaluating work done by others.  Will be responsible for performing software quality assurance and quality management activities on large-scale and/or technically complex projects which includes designing, conducting and reporting on quality assessments of new or modified information technology systems that are being developed.  This typically involves partnering closely with business analysts and software engineers to fully understand system functionality and data flows, contributing to the design team methods that will improve quality assessments, designing and conducting quality assessments and summarizing findings. Provides technical leadership to team of other Quality Management associates by providing mentoring and in-depth knowledge of quality management.  Provides mentoring and coaching in the use of Quality Management processes and tools.
Coordinates the workflow within the function by assigning resources to projects, monitoring progress and adjusting workload balance as needed.
Performs research, risk assessment and impact analysis evaluations from a Quality perspective.
Actively participates with the business analysts and software engineers throughout project life cycle to understand business application and to build quality processes into the design of applications.
Develops comprehensive quality test strategies and plans for all assigned development projects, including the construction of data sets, testing environment, test cases and scripts/procedures.  Projects are typically larger in scope, technically complex and involve multiple computing environments. 
Analyzes results of tests completed and provides all findings back to the development team for resolution.  Monitor the resolution of all defects noted.
Executes the Test plan according to the defined plan.  Responsible for managing the execution of the test plan, including assignment of testing tasks and reporting status to the Project Manager and QM management.
Provides sign-off for acceptance for projects that have satisfactorily completed Quality test plans.
May assist other team members in carrying out tests of other systems as needed, including documentation and analysis of results.  May also give direction to more junior quality management associates.
Facilitates Quality Management activities, for small to large scope projects throughout the SDLC process including: technical design reviews, Software Standards reviews and Change Control audits.
Define opportunities to re-engineer standardized processes in the Software Quality Assurance function.
Participates in the re-engineering of the Quality Management processes and best practices.

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Management or equivalent experience

5 - 8 years experience required

Full SDLC experience required (requirements, design, development, test, implementation, and process integration).

Minimum of 2 years as a developer or equivalent experience.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Ability to learn and master new technologies and software applications

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Should have at least five - eight years professional experience working in quality assurance and applications development.

Additionally, should have familiarity with formalized software quality testing procedures and tools, preferably Mercury ( Kintana).
