Engineer

Job Description: Provide technical analyses of physical security equipment and software to address the installation and the associated threats to the ship and equipment. Physical Security System effectiveness goals and trade-offs shall be technically analyzed based on developed threats and concepts. This shall include site visits to participate in surveys and assessments to determine site vulnerabilities and requirements. Travel is anticipated to various CONUS and OCONUS port locations.

Education: Bachelors Degree in Software Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of experience in the related field or advanced technical training and 5-7 years of related PLC programming experience.

Required Skills: Job requires knowledge/experience utilizing Invensys Wonderware InTouch for the Human-Machine Interface development and systems integration. The PLC skill requirements include: Modicon Quantum and Adventys using ProWorx32 984 ladder logic development environment. Fluency in TCP/IP, FTP, SQL, and XML are required for field device configuration and troubleshooting. In addition the must possess subject matter level expertise working with and troubleshooting Ethernet networks consisting of Siemens Ethernet switches hosting fiber based self-healing ring topologies. The fundamental comprehension of tri-state field devices using a single end of line resistor is required to support shipboard security system installations.
