Engineer - Automation Software

 

Job Description:

Primary duties of this position are to design, develop, implement and maintain code for automation systems in an advanced manufacturing facility.  This position will also help to sustain and enhance existing automation systems as needed. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a clean room environment, ability to obtain and understand requirements of end users for specific functions of equipment and the ability to understand capabilities of equipment as defined by the manufacturer.

 

Job Functions:

- Software design and development

- System support

- Code, trouble-shoot, and test software

- Enhance and modify existing software modules

 

Preferred Job Qualifications: Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.Software development at a large site preferably in a manufacturing environment.Experience with cell controller development for semiconductor manufacturing.Knowledge and experience in SECS-II protocols (including GEM), VFEI protocol, and f Visual Basic Experience in interfacing and querying with Oracle or equivalent database.Experience with at least one of the major MES systems from an interface/programming perspective (Factory Works, PROMIS, MESA, CAMSTAR, Si_view) required.  Knowledge and experience with Visual Studio .NET or Java/J2EE programming a plus.
