Enterprise Application & Systems Management - 15 openings

The Enterprise Application & Systems Management at major financial firm provides tools to help IT manage systems and applications. It is a complex, dynamic, large & heterogeneous environment that necessitates the integration & simplicity of management functions.  A sophisticated business environment alongside regulatory demands has created the need to evolve systems & application management capabilities and near real-time management, monitoring & views into the health of the environment.

 

We have multiple Technology openings to join this team of Infrastructure professionals. All positions require the ability to work in a dynamic team environment and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.  Firm will look at candidates with 3-10 years of experience.

1) ENGINEER - End-to-end:  Develop, manage and maintain the integration of performance data, 3rd Party data analysis and 3rd Party visualization solutions. These tools statistically analyze high volume system, database, MQ and other infrastructure related performance metrics and generate smart alerts. The visualization tool takes the smart alerts and visually and statistically identifies the root-cause and impact of the alert. The 3rd party tools are Java solutions with Web enabled consoles.

REQUIRED SKILL SET: Production development experience in Java, Perl & database applications.

2) ANALYST - Performance Engineer: Analyze performance data, identify constrained resources and recommend solutions to remediate performance problems. This person must have an in-depth understanding of infrastructure performance metrics available on Solaris, Linux and NT. This person will analyze infrastructure and application performance metrics, use available tools to identify performance issues & visually and statistically correlate performance data with application metrics to identify and quantify application throughput and capacity. This person will then present their analysis to a technically savvy audience. This person will automate their repetitive tasks with Perl.

REQUIRED SKILL SET: 3 years of system administration experience in a global Linux or Solaris environment Production development experience with PERL & KSH programming In-depth performance analysis, capacity planning and presentation skills

 

3) ENGINEER/ DEVELOPER:  Engineering positions focused on the design, development and implementation of an infrastructure monitoring system.

REQUIRED SKILL SET:3 to 5 years of Java programming experience or C++ Working knowledge of complementary skill set (Java or C++) a plus Proficiency in Perl programming Good understanding of relational database, preferably Sybase Unix system fundamentals or working experience using Unix systems C# knowledge is preferred

4) PRODUCT ENGINEER - Systems Management: Engineering positions focused on management & monitoring systems that are highly scalable, manageable, and more reliable than the applications & systems that rely on them. The team focuses on engineering of enterprise infrastructure applications, generally in the area of system and application monitoring and management. The products are a mix of vendor and in-house developed systems. Job functions include product evaluations, integration of products into the Morgan environment, development & maintenance of related tools & user interfaces, product architecture and performance analysis,

REQUIRED SKILL SET:proven hands on experience in enterprise production infrastructure management, systems administration with good programming skills
