MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED:
The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for pulling together different silos of information within the Miami Dade County technology environment. He/She will work with various technical areas to ensure interoperability of systems critical to Miami Dade County's enterprise work well together. The selected candidate will plan systems and create strategies to take advantage of new technology and work with business management to make sure the technology aligns with the County's enterprise programs.

SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Knowledge of multiple platforms to include Windows, Linux, Solaris, AIX, UNIX, Websphere, .net, Oracle and SQL, data modeling, operational and decision support data architecture deployment. Knowledge of DBMS, Security, CRM, ERP, Asset Management, Electronic Document Management, GIS, Networking and Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recognize opportunities to transform the business with technology. Specify which platform works best for enterprise programs. architecting of enterprise-wide systems and ensuring architecture decisions are business driven and cost effective. Designing solutions with interoperability between new technologies and legacy applications. Provide architecture governance and administer the IT architecture compliance/variance process. Maintain information architecture models and metadata content within the repository of architecture information for their areas of focus. Planning and developing architectural frameworks to leverage opportunities.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Masters in Computer Science, engineering or equivalent. Ten years of Enterprise Architecture experience.
