The Enterprise Architect collaborates with business system owners to understand company strategic direction and develops long range plans/models to ensure the information technology enterprise systems and infrastructure will be ready to support business operations and contribute to long term growth. In addition to these duties the Enterprise Architect is also responsible for the governance of IT initiatives to ensure compliance with Enterprise Architecture standards and processes.

 

Responsibilites: Work with business community to model processes and identify opportunities for improvements to both process and supporting technology Work closely with system architects, data architects and integration architects to provide consensus based enterprise solutions that are scalable and adaptable to business needs Develop and maintain logical and physical architecture models as part of technology roadmap for PMI Map technology strategy to business objectives Design and develop architecture models for enterprise application systems Participate in the Project Governance Process to ensure adherence to enterprise standards Development and presentation of recommendations with supporting evidence of value proposition based on analysis of existing processes and systems

 

Requirements 10+ years experience in one or more of the following areas: technology strategy, systems architecture, business analysis, software design and development, and/or program management Strategy skills necessary to build technology roadmaps Consulting skills such as interviewing stakeholders, developing and presenting technology recommendations, conducting architecture reviews, and consensus building Professional experience with architecture, design and development of services and web based systems Thorough understanding of SOA concepts, service design principles, process & service modeling methodologies Familiar with SOA infrastructure and technologies (security, message routing & mediation, management) Knowledge of and experience with IBM technologies (Websphere, WBI, Crossworlds, MQ, DB2) UML and Unified Process experience Understanding of design and integration patterns Experience in the areas of EAI and B2B solutions Excellent communication skills both oral and written
