Enterprise Data Architect
Identify technical risks and mitigation strategies. Analyze and recommend software acquisitions and alternative solutions, methodologies and/or strategies. Drive the collaborative development of technology strategies, standards and practices. Articulate emerging technologies, their strengths and weaknesses, and their application within the enterprise.
Main Responsibilities:
Facilitation of a global master data governance program.
Responsible for evolving and stewarding the enterprise data architecture vision and strategy while obtaining buy-in from stakeholders, management and business partners throughout the company.
Establish measures to chart progress related to completeness and quality of identified enterprise information and support reduction of data redundancy, fragmentation and elimination of unnecessary movement of data.
Key Qualifications:
SAP CRM/ERP/BW functional or technical interface experience (IDoc, RFC, BAPI, etc.) is required.
Technical and project leadership experience with Data Warehousing, BI and Master Data Management programs and projects is required.
Experience in ErWin Data Modeling Skills.
Preferred experience in ETL toolset knowledge (Informatica), Data Cleansing Quality Tools (Trillium), EAI Methodologies & Toolsets (IBM), Business Intelligence Tools (Business Objects), DBMS (DB2 and SQL Server), OS/Platform (AIX/UNIX, Wintel), and Enterprise Architecture Methodologies (ZACHMAN, TOGAF, etc.).
Strong knowledge of data warehousing and data integration patterns and approaches.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of multi-tier and cross-platform architectures.
Ability to interface with a broad spectrum of clients, suppliers, IS personnel and business leaders.
Experience with architecting scalable service-oriented data solutions at enterprise level.
Expertise in design/implementation of enterprise data integration systems and master data management.
Experience in developing of IT architecture plans, software development methodologies, and strategic planning initiatives.
Excellent communication, presentation and reasoning skills.
Ability to think outside-the-box while defining sound and practical solutions.
Desire to take initiative and move projects/ideas forward with clarity.
Strong negotiation and leadership skills, with the ability to indirectly manage cross-functional teams towards common solutions.
BA degree in Information Management, Computer Science or other related area.
Minimum of 8 years related work experience in the areas of data architecture, design, administration, and/or data conversion/cleansing/migration.
