POSITION: Enterprise Document Imaging/Medical Records Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY

Analytical and technical oriented individual to provide direction in the continued implementation and maintenance of Enterprise Document Imaging application and its processes. Provide assistance in the assessments and interpretation of departmental operational goals and objective, to aid with evaluation and customized install of EDI to prospective Emerging Health IT clients.  Provide support for the integration of multiple hardware, software and operating system platforms.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide project management support for clinical, non-clinical and business operations for Enterprise Document Imaging (EDI).Lead in the development of System policies and procedures as it pertains to security, downtime, backup operations and disaster recovery activities.Establish and maintain communication with various departmental contacts for ongoing activities that promote the good health of EDI.Responsible for the development and maintenance of EDI training material.Responsible for the Training and dissemination of training material to user community. Assist team responsible for ensuring effective procedures are in place for planned and unplanned downtime.Provide technical, operational and administrative direction to the EDI teams for various tasks that promotes the good health of EDI and customer satisfaction.Responsible for the management of all changes and updates to both production and test systems of EDI.Create test plans and procedures for dissemination to ensure business and operational objectives are met, coordinate front-end and back-end activities for all changes made to EDI.Provide functional support and assist with testing of the application when changes are made with clinical and non-clinical departments to ensure the availability of document imaging application, to ensure ease of use and navigation through the application.Lead in the system administration activities of EDI, which includes evaluating appropriate access levels, additions and updates of users, table maintenance, automated workflow technology, printing, and other activities as assigned.Follow-up, troubleshoot and resolve problem tickets generated both in Remedy (internal) and in Sage (McKesson‑external), and carry a 24 X 7 Pager for support during off hours.Participate in Document Imaging Pager rotation activities. Perform as liaison with EDI Hardware and Software vendors to maintain contracts, report, escalate and resolve outstanding issues.

o  Assist Interface Analyst, as needed, to maintain and monitor interfaces.

o  Assist Interface Analyst as needed with the development and importing of 835 and 837 feeds for EDI

o  Assist Database Analyst as needed with monitoring activities, and good health checks.

o  Assist with the development and creation of end user requested reports.Interact with all levels of management and technical groups.Provide assistance with the integration of all Document Imaging components in an MMC environment.Manage assigned projects, prepare management reports, develop and implement work plans.Monitor departmental system operations and recommend policies and procedures for optimal usage.

 TECHNICAL SKILLS / RequirementsKnowledgeable of Healthcare operationsKnowledge of basic hardware configurations, database management tools and query language. Knowledge of network operations for LAN/WAN/SANKnowledge of Crystal ReportsExcellent Communications and Writing SkillsAbility to Document Policies and ProceduresKnowledgeable of Project Work Plans and Ability to generate deliverablesAbility to Design Operational and Statistical ReportsKnowledgeable of desktop Applications: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Bachelors Degree
