Entry-level Programmer Analyst (PL/SQL, SQL, Oracle, SCT Banner)

We currently have an opening for an entry-level Programmer/Analyst to join our team in Boston, MA.

Job Description:


Act as a resource to assist the institution in the implementation of the Banner suite of software including Student, and Financial Aid systems. Responsible for loading data into various Banner database instances; verifying that the data is accurately loaded and working with users to correct information; moving Banner information from one database instance to another; creating custom reports for offices and setting up user access for running those reports; creating download files for access using Microsoft productivity tools; cleaning data from database instances to improve overall data quality.

Requirements:

Associates degree from an accredited institution ond minimum 6 months of experience in programming in an Oracle application software. Experience with PL/SQL, SQL, SQR, MS Access and other Oracle development tools a plus. Experience with SCT Banner Student Information System is highly desirable. Knowledge of HTML, Java, C, VMS or Unix a plus. Experience supporting users in the SunGard SCT Banner environment (preferred) or in a like college administrative system. Experience with integrated college administrative systems. Experience loading converted data into new database and moving information from one database into another. Experience with creating reports to satisfy end user requirements. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written. High degree of flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to make deadlines. Working knowledge of production systems and testing methodologies. Effective organizational skills. Good team player with a strong customer service focus.
