Experienced Oracle Application Developer

OFS, a leading manufacturer of wood office casegoods, conference room and seating product, is seeking a team-oriented individual with extensive experience in Oracle Applications.



 

 

 

Application Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining software needs for the company and it's supply chain. This person will coordinate with the Business Process Analysts (BPAs) to create and implement solutions for the company. The Application Developer will create and maintain detailed technical documentation of applications they are responsible for. This person will be responsible for designing, developing and supporting critical IT projects and activities within the OFSStyline enterprise systems team.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

The Application Developer will develop applications and processes that satisfy the business needs of the company. They will be expected to design, develop, implement, test, and document all applications and processes that are created. The developer is expected to effectively communicate with the BPAs and end users to insure applications are working according to functional specifications. The Developer will be expected to maintain and enhance current applications and processes.

Required Knowledge and SkillsExperienced in SQL and PLSQL programming and Relational DatabasesBachelor or Associate degree in computer science or equivalent combination of training and experienceSelf-Motivated, Goal oriented, and eagerness to learnStrong interpersonal and communication skillsMust be able to work closely with users and cross functional teamsNeed to be able to multi task on various projectsAt least four years of application development experienceExperience with Oracle 10.7NCA and/or 11i E-Business suites (MFG, WMS, Logistics, CRM and Financials)

Preferred Knowledge and SkillsOracle Reports 2.5 or greater experienceOracle Forms experienceOracle Workflow experiencePHP / ASP / HTML web scripting languagesXMLPortal or Discoverer EUL development and reports experience Visual Basic VB6 or .net experienceUnix shell scriptingPrior work experience with a furniture manufacturer environment is a plusExperience with SQL Server is a plus
