Experienced Sr. Network Engineer Needed

Robert Half Technology is looking for a senior level network engineer with strong hands on experience in a CISCO environment.  The perfect candidate will have a minimum of a current CCNA certification, with preference of a current CCNP.  The candidate will also have at least 5 years of demonstrated networking experience in a large-scale environment.  The candidate must also have experience in a network infrastructure design role.

 

Required skills:CISCO 2600, 2800, 3700, 3800, 7200 series routers.Catalyst series switches.Experience with RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, and BGPInstallation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.Hardware and IOS upgradesExperience with VLAN technologies.Experience with wireless access points and wireless security.Coordinate and oversee maintenance and changes to the production environment.Network SecurityExperience with CISCO PIX or Checkpoint/Nokia firewalls.Experience with IDS.Provide statistical information upon request in relation to system and security activities.Ensure that products and services meet overall security objectives.Strong knowledge of IP and UDP ports and protocols.Ability to develop and maintain constant changes to firewall rules and network objects.TCP/IPStrong knowledge of all aspects of the OSI model.Application Experience:Microsoft OfficePowerPointOutlookVisioWordSniffer ProEtherealNetwork Monitoring tools
