 FINANCIAL ANALYST

 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

1.  Directly responsible for providing financial and accounting expertise to all departments within Information Technology. 

 

2.  Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following:

?  Prepare and review monthly financial statements in compliance with GAAP for 40 + I.T. business units located in Memphis and Nevada

?  Prepare monthly client/property allocations for I.T. products and services utilizing complex allocation methodologies.

?  Support existing custom financial reporting models and prepare monthly variance reports.

?  Assist in the annual operating/capital planning process and quarterly forecasts.

?  Provide support for custom labor tracking database and analyze reports.

?  Assist in the development and reporting of meaningful performance metrics for core I.T. Business functions.

?  Provide technical leadership and training on accounting/financial processes and procedures.

?  Assist I.T. management in developing business cases including decision support analysis.

?  Key contact for internal and external audit requests.

 KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Ability to identify and solve problems utilizing financial data and proven analytical techniques. Application of GAAP, especially regarding capitalization of development and implementation work. Above average computer skills using MS Excel, Word, Access and  Financial applications such as General Ledger, Payables and Fixed Assets. Experience using Rumba file transfer to download GL information from the AS/400 to the desktop is desired.

 EDUCATION

BS, BBA, BA in Finance or Accounting required.  MBA and/or CPA preferred.

3-5 years accounting or financial work experience.  Prior experience supporting Information Technology Business Units is desired.
