FXASG Analyst

FXASG Analyst Description: Volt Services Group is currently recruiting for an Analyst who will drive the production integrity of FX systems through ready-for-business certification, application guardianship, real-time system monitoring and turnover & outage management. The candidate?s responsibilities will include: systems monitoring, system level trouble shooting, outage management and administration for in-house and 3rd party critical trading systems and tools, act as primary application contact for traders with systems support issues, development groups regarding outage management and L1 for all other escalations. The ideal candidate will handle day to day maintenance of applications including start of day and end of day processing checks, real time monitoring of events and faults as they occur in the trading factory, proactive notification to clients and to attempt problem resolution, attempt to determine the root cause of problems through a set of diagnostics tools and/or own investigation, escalate as appropriate to core development and engineering groups in IT, Ad-hoc tool and script development as required, and undertake project work. The FX ASG specialists are responsible for the monitoring and support of approximately 60 FX applications spread across Cash, Options, Pricing, ETrading, Client Tech, Back Office, Data Warehouse and Arbitrage business lines.



Requirements:
The Analyst must have four or more years experience of application or infrastructure support in a trading environment. Must have excellent communication skills, working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating environment, and knowledge of scripting language - ksh, Perl, Basic SQL and Sybase. Plus skills are experience supporting distributed system environments, knowledge of trade flows and operations, ideally within Fixed Income, and Market data knowledge.
