Facilities Engineer

The Facilities Engineer will maintain a general knowledge of mechanical & electrical systems and technology. He/she will comply with corporate policies and procedures. Prepare detailed cost estimates for equipment/system installations and construction projects. Adhere to safety and environmental standards and regulations.

A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is required to qualify for this role. Project management skills are necessary to coordinate projects utilizing in-house trades or outside contractors. Individuals must have relatively high level of analytical skills where problems are complex and the ability to interpret and provide material take-offs for blueprints and engineering drawings. Excellent oral and written communications skills along with an understanding of contracts/purchase order and construction law are required. Individuals must have experience in project management, budget and schedule tracking. Computer skills required include: AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, Project, and Outlook). Experience in mist collection, coolant filtration & Chip Handling systems design and processes is needed, as is experience in industrial Ventilation (Exhaust) Systems, heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems. A relatively high level of analytical ability is needed to troubleshoot mechanical systems. Individuals must be willing to travel.
