We have the following exciting new opportunity in San Diego, Califirnia. OSEC is searching for a Facility Security Officer for the following responsibilities:
? Reports directly to the Director of Security.
? Provide support in clearance processing and visitor and document control in Genser, SAP and SCI environments.
? Conduct investigations of security infractions.
? Serve as a courier of classified material.
? Serves as the classification management specialist providing classification guidance to employees and subcontractors, issuing DD Form 254s, and tracking DD Form 254s issued or received in SIMS.
? Responsible for the security portion of the contract close-out for all classified contracts received and issued.
? Developing and implementing Information System Security Plans
? Conducting security education and training.
? Performing self-inspections.
? Provide security guidance and assistance to facility personnel.
? Interface with Government clients on behalf of the Director of Security.
? Ability to respond to after hour alarms and emergency conditions.
? Provide security oversight as the Alternate COMSEC Custodian for the operation and accountability of all COMSEC equipment.

Requirements:

? High School degree with at least six years of experience in government/industrial security and in-depth working knowledge of NISPOM abd NISPOM-SUP., or a BA/BS or equivalent experience and at least four years experience required in government/industrial security and in-depth knowledge of the NISPOM, NISPOM Supplement, DoD 5105.21-M-1 and Director of Central Intelligence Directives (DCID) 6/1 through 6/9 preferred. 

? Excellent written & oral communication skills required
? Must be customer service focused with strong interpersonal skills
? Must be able to prioritize & multi task
? Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SIMS, DIAS, JPAS, and e-QIP
