Job Responsibilities


Uses knowledge of EMC/Storage technology, products, processes, and consultative selling skills to assess and educate customers on role and value of tiered storage infrastructure.

Builds in-depth knowledge of clients' technical priorities, challenges and initiatives - maps those need to core EMC offerings and competencies.

Responsible for defining core implementation services (i.e. Build) necessary to support the appropriate solution(s).

Responsible for the coordination, delivery and quality of presales Technology Solutions deliverables within the domain of the account which may include items such as configurations, architectural diagrams, and proposal inputs.


Builds value-added relationships within the domain of the account to become the trusted technical advisor.

Responsible for developing and proposing technology solutions, along with implementation services, that meet customers' needs - ensures that proposed solutions when implemented meet the needs and functional requirements of the customer.

Skills



TC/SCI Full Scope Poly with CIA and/or NSA
Strong customer interaction skills to include:
Leading technical discussions
Requirements gathering
Whiteboard solution options
Presentations to customers

Strong work ethic - Wiliness to do what it takes to get the job done.
Live in the DC area, willingness to commute to Mclean, VA and Washington DC on a regular basis

Technical experience selling/supporting mid-tier and enterprise storage solutions including many of the following areas of expertise:
Storage Area Networks
Network Attached Storage
Business Continuity
Disaster Recovery
Storage Resource Management

Working knowledge of many of the following operating environments:
Windows 2000, 2003
UNIX (Solaris, HPUX, AIX)
Linux
Mainframe OS390, ZOS

Working knowledge of many of the following application environments:
Databases (Oracle, SQLServer)
ERP/CRM Applications (Oracle Apps, SAP, Siebel, PeopleSoft
Microsoft Exchange
Documentum
Full Text Search and Retrieval solutions

Requirements


Current and active TS/SCI Full Scope Poly REQUIRED.


Interpersonal, communication, customer service and presentation skills.

Experience leading technical discussions, requirements gathering, whiteboard solution options

Understanding of EMC's products and their value added to the customer.

Technical expertise selling/supporting enterprise storage solutions (SAN, NAS, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Storage Resource Management.

Operating Environments: Windows, 2000, 2003, Unix (Solaris, HPUX, AIX), Linux, Mainframe OS390, ZOS.

Working knowledge of the following application environments: Databases (Oracle, SQLServer), ERP/CRM (Oracle Apps, SAP, Sieble, PeopleSoft), MS Exchange, Documentum, Full Text Search and Retrieval solutions.

Experience / Education


Bachelors Degree (Technical) or equivalent

3 to 6 years
