H-60 Aircraft Modification Electrical Technician

Principal Duties and Essential Job Functions:
Individual will function as an electrical technician and member of the H-60 Field modification Team. This individual will provide technical assistance and support to the team as it pertains to engineering changes made to the aircraft. This individual will be responsible for the conduct and job execution of a field modification team and accomplishing day to day workload requirements in support of a field modification and installation team. Installation of avionics changes and avionics kits to the helicopter will be required. This individual will also assist the team leader in completing kit inventory and reporting of kit deficiencies for aircraft materials. Individual will also work with drawings that pertain to Functional Block Diagrams and schematics. Individual will also perform technical support functions for the team evaluating and resolving technical issues in support of field modification of the H-60 aircraft.

Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum ten (10) or more years of related avionics experience. Individual must have experience in aircraft electronics installation, troubleshooting and repair. Individual should have an understanding of system level drawings, and knowledge of electronics and electrical theory, techniques, equipment, electromechanical assembly, engineering directives, and test equipment. It is desired that the individual have knowledge/experience and understanding of system upgrades and the DOD acquisition process. Individual should have knowledge of DOD engineering management tools, techniques and procedures. Must be able to work effectively as a member of a Field Modification Team for accomplishing aircraft projects. Capable of reading and understanding technical manuals and system level drawings. Should have some computer skills to include MS office, data collection, and analysis techniques.
