Field Technician (Network Repair & Maintenance)

 Position Overview

This position reports to the Regional Operations Manager.  The FST is responsible for the maintenance, repair and upgrade of Wayport?s installation base through the use of remote tools, hotel staff, field staff and contracted vendors.  Major Responsibilities/DutiesOnsite support of Wayport products and servicesVerification of problem tickets escalated from Call CenterRemote monitoring and troubleshooting of Hardware IssuesPhone support activities involving Hotel Engineering, IT and A/V staffInteraction with Account Manager and Field Operations to leverage support requirementsConfiguration of all Hotel equipmentMaintain a spares level for use in property repairsInvolvement in Meeting Support activities

 

Hours of work

 M-F 8-5 Weekend work will be expected on about 20% of timeOn Call remaining hoursWork may often extend into additional hours to include times before 8 AM and after 5 PM

 

Reporting Mechanisms

 Call trackerOn-site Audit form after completion of daily workWeekly call-in to Technical Operations managerInvolvement with Regional Sales Manager and Account ManagersWeekly Expense reporting

 

Travel

 Will utilize personal vehicle to transport him/her and spares throughout installation baseExtended areas may be more economical to use rental vehicle and expense fuel (as opposed to mileage)Will be asked to fly to cities outside coverage zone from time to time
