A challenging opportunity where business and information systems converge and you can make it happen!  As Finance Business Analyst you will play a strategic role on a strong finance team as it leads our company to world dominance in global land transportation.  BostonCoach, a Fidelity Investments Company, is a premier worldwide provider of executive sedan, limousine and event transportation services.

 

You will join a select, hand-picked team of finance leaders at our world headquarters north of Boston where you will be responsible for using current information systems or developing new solutions to achieve business goals.  You will report to the Director of Finance and use your understanding of our business goals and your knowledge of technology and processes to improve the efficiency of the Finance Department and BostonCoach as a whole.  You will be working in an energetic, fast-paced team environment where excellence is the norm.

 

Specific Responsibilities Include the Following:

Develop new financial applicationsGather user requirementsDesign data modelBuild prototypesTest and verify

 

Create and support data mining for a variety of transactional systemsCreate data extracts from different database platforms into centralized data warehouseDevelop reporting solutions to provide business analysisSolve business problems through innovative technological solutions using a variety of database and reporting tools

 

Create, maintain and monitor Technology budgetSupport CIO to create budget and explain budget variancesDetermine appropriate monthly accruals

 

Maintain and improve the customer profitability model and applicationMake necessary changes to improve customer profitability applicationDevelop customer profitability action plansDevelop customer pricing modelsCreate monthly uploads

 

Provide financial analysis on complex to very complex business issuesSupport Director of Finance and CFO by analyzing business initiativesWork with departments to help analyze financial information

 

 

 

Prior Experience We Seek:Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelExperience with/knowledge of database structures and platforms ? Microsoft SQL Server, Access, Oracle, etcProficiency with SQL reporting tools such as Crystal Reports, or otherKnowledge of General Business activities:  Sales, Marketing and OperationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skillsMBA:  Computer Science or Information Systems preferred
