Financial Application Cognos Report Analyst

We are seeking an Analyst to review and document the current administrative systems as well as create data flow diagrams of the same: timesheets, cost allocation, inventory, item control. The Analyst will design system specifications for contract analysis, revenue, expenditure, and staffing analysis. This will involve creating the specifications for the data base, user interfaces, and reports. The Analyst will train County Managers and Analysts in the use of the developed Cognos ReportNet modules as well as provide written training materials to describe ReportNet use, functionality, and features.

Candidates must possess three (3) years of experience implementing and providing application maintenance (program changes and design modifications) for budget and revenue claiming financial systems as well as providing project management and system design specifications for financial system implementations and utilizing project management tools such as Microsoft Project and Microsoft Project Central. Candidates must have one (1) year of experience utilizing Cognos ReportNet for report development and three (3) years of experience integrating, configuring, and administering General Ledger, Position Control, and Public Sector Budgeting systems to include the development of extractions, transformation, and load processes from mainframe-based financial systems.
