 GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) is responsible for understanding the business industry trends (i.e. Finance), establishing group goals and objectives, translating the business needs to technical needs and communicating technical constraints and alternatives to the business.

 MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

1.Plans, organizes and leads application requirements for his/her business corporate functions.

2.Establishes goals and objectives for the business. Function and coordinates workflow,

3.and takes corrective action if goals are not being met.

4.Works with Functional Business owners to understand the business strategies for his/her Function. Demonstrates working knowledge of industry and trends; uses this information to establish a Technology Strategy to deliver continuous improvement.

5.Provides recommendations to their technology business requirements, business objectives, budgets and timelines.

6.Maintain technology roadmap for the Function.

7.Teams with senior leadership and the application development group or suppliers to ensure a timely, accurate and cost effective solution to their IT business needs.

8.Interfaces with the application development team to ensure test results for new applications meet the requirements of the business group and industry validation standards.

9.Train business partners on how to work with IT.

10.  Meet face-to-face with clients as necessary.

11.  Oversee appropriate use of team budget.

12. Interfaces with the Project Management Organization to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while meeting the function?s needs.

 

 JOB SPECIFICATIONS

 

Required

? BS/BA degree or equivalent higher educational certification

? 5-7 years of successful experience in Finance & Financial ERP Systems

? 3-5 years of management experience

? Experience interacting with suppliers

? Strong understanding of financial concepts

? Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills

 

Preferred:

? Advanced degree or certification

? Knowledge of drug development
