Job Description


Client Operations professionals are responsible for the day-to-day provision of long-term outsourcing services to one or several clients.  They design, manage and implement the activities associated with key business functions. The Service Delivery/Operations capability focuses on the attributes or skills essential to providing the necessary services and solutions to the client, the client?s employees or the client?s customers in fulfillment of contractual obligations agreed upon by both parties. The Application Outsourcing specialty incorporates skills which support the programming, management and maintenance services required to implement and support new installations or maintain and improve existing legacy systems for our clients.

 

A Functional Analyst is a functional expert, responsible for driving the functional design and delivery of technology-based business solutions. 

 

As a member of the Common Service Delivery Team, the Functional Analyst will be responsible for driving projects based on a Service Oriented approach. This role requires understanding of the greater enterprise and how capabilities can be shared and reused across the organization.

 

The Functional Analyst is primarily responsible for developing functional specifications. The Analyst works with the Business Relationship Management (BRM) and business users to understand the business requirements and translates those requirements into functional specifications. In addition, the Functional Analyst participates in the Level of Effort to ensure that the estimates accurately reflect the requirements. The individual possesses an understanding and knowledge of the application and the technical environment. The Functional Analyst is responsible for completing project work orders, coordinates the work efforts between the client team and offshore staff to ensure work completion in a timely manner. The Analyst is responsible for completing weekly status reports and escalating issues to the Delivery Manager as needed. Additionally, the Functional Analyst is responsible for project management . The Functional Analyst is responsible for establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with the client team.

 

Key responsibilities may include:


? Works with users to determine specific user needs and translates them to system requirements/changes

? Produces functional design documentation describing changes required to support those needs

? Understands specific user functional area from an industry and functional perspective

? Reviews detail designs to ensure the design meets user requirements

? Applies appropriate technical, industry and functional knowledge to all work efforts

? Produces complete and accurate documentation for work based on current documentation standards

? Oversees Level of Effort process and is responsible for accuracy and completeness of Level of Effort output

? Coordinates offshore to deliver work according to project schedules

? Reports weekly status to the relevant team leaders

? Identifies problems and brings them to the Delivery Manager?s attention with sufficient lead time

? Manages projects to help ensure on time and on budget delivery

? Manages the relationship with the Client Team

 

Qualifications

 

?2-3 years programming experience desired
?Degree (or equivalent) required
?  2-3 years of experience in developing Use Case documents and corresponding diagrams, test cases, etc.

?  Must be able to understand scope, risk, and magnitude of the project

?  Must have appropriate technical knowledge

?  Proficient knowledge of the business unit and functional scope

?  Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

?  Must understand timing and deadlines of work requests

?  Skilled in resource planning, estimation, and allocation

?  Proficient project management skills

?  Skilled in project management

?  Skilled customer relationship building and maintenance

?  Supervisory skills
