Financial Systems Support Analyst

The financial systems support analyst will provide financial systems support for all UPMC users of financial applications, primarily PeopleSoft. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: leading or participating in hospital integrations from a system and operational perspective, which may include the establishment of work plans, policies and procedures; developing and maintaining an expert level of functional knowledge of the applications via in house or external training, seminars or conferences; and preparing and maintaining appropriate documentation of system and operational procedures related to the business functions carried out by the financial systems.

A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or information science, or equivalent, preferred with a minimum of three years experience in Healthcare required. The ideal candidate will possess excellent functional understanding of financial and/or Supply Chain systems applications including, but not limited to: general ledger, budgets, accounts receivable, billing, projects, asset management, purchasing, inventory and accounts payable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required as well as strong problem solving and decision making skills to follow issues through resolution. The incumbent must be able to work well in a team environment with minimal direct supervision and a good understanding of project management. Lastly, experience in supervising assigned team members when leading a project is a must.
