Fixed Income Analytics Develop

Standish Mellon is seeking a Fixed Income Analytics Developer who will provide technology support for several fixed income areas including quantitative research, trading and portfolio analysis groups.  The position will report to the IT project manager responsible for these areas. Responsibilities include analysis, design and development of applications to support fixed income areas with an emphasis on reporting and quantitative information analysis solutions; integration of data from multiple platforms for reporting and analysis purposes. Incumbent will provide support for current fixed income reporting/analysis applications and meet with business users for analysis of requirements for new applications. He/She will assist fixed income users in the use of technologies such as Access and SQL Server.

 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or related field. 3+ years of experience within the investment management/mutual funds/securities industry in an Information Technology related capacity.  5+ years of hands on experience with one or more of the following tools/technologies: Net, Visual Basic, SQL,  SQL Server, Microsoft Transaction Server, Business Intelligence Tools, Microsoft Access, ASP, COM and Windows NT.  Familiarity with project management and software development processes and disciplines.  A solid understanding of fixed income securities and terminology. Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills; detail oriented.
