SUMMARY:
This position partners with marketing and other departments to analyze, plan, design, and specify new applications and enhancements to existing applications for a major, complex gaming software system. Gathers and analyzes requirements, user profiles, and existing products; articulates the analysis into specifications for software development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Create Flash simulations of casino management applications.
? Use Flash to explore proposed feature sets and new program functionality based on gaming industry research and requirements documentation.
? Work directly from UI concept sketches, flow charts, story boards, and close collaboration with the usability planning and design team.
? Contribute to the development of UI standards and participate in ongoing usability testing.
? Work closely with usability analysts to interpret and define new application features.
? Provide continuity as a start-to-finish usability champion and art director.
? Assertively carry new product vision through all review cycles and all phases of engineering implementation up to final product release.
? Understand product requirements and end-user needs and drivers.
? Rapidly and accurately create high-fidelity simulations of UI designs capturing the flow, navigation, and look and feel.
? Ensure all product designs meet usability objectives and user requirements.
? Design screen layouts and interactions using established UI standards and guidelines.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Graphic or Industrial Design, Computer Science, Engineering, HCI, Fine Arts, or a related field or its equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
EXPERIENCE:
2+ years experience working with Adobe Flash/ ActionScript.
Experience in the Gaming and/or Systems industry or its equivalent a major plus. Portfolio required.
Must indicate a keen interest in Flash-related skills development and technical training.
SKILLS:
Must have strong analytical and creative problem solving skills. Demonstrates excellent oral and written, communication and customer service skills. Demonstrates an extremely high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Must be a team player.
