Generalist-Project Management Office

CITY: Schenectady STATE: New York COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
U.S. Employee Services, a division of GE Corporate, is responsible for benefits administration and payroll for active and retired GE employees in the United States. A major initiative is underway to implement PeopleSoft Pay & Benefits modules for our 500k customers. This opportunity to assist in this implementation requires a candidate who thrives in a dynamic, matrixed team environment. The successful candidate will support the Project Management Office in a highly visible role, working to develop and deploy project management controls and tools to the project team and across the PeopleSoft Project

Qualifications/Requirements:
*Must be willing to work in Schenectady, NY
*Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
*MS Access software proficiency, including creation of forms and queries (SQL knowledge a plus).
*MS Project software proficiency, including work plan creation, analysis and reporting.
*MS Office proficiency.
*Strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task.
*Excellent oral and written communication skills with team members at all levels.
*Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
*Must be willing to submit to a drug screen and background check
*Must have proper authorization to work in the US

Desired:
*Six Sigma Green Belt certified (if GE internal candidate), or equivalent quality experience
*IT experience.
*Operations Management experience.
