  POSITION TITLE:  GIS Specialist

Department:   Product Development

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

? Provide GIS Support for existing and documented products

? Perform Quality checks on Maps and Data

? Update processes to reflect improvements or changes

? Become familiar with CoreLogic products

? Participate in product development team meetings

? Research and collect data on natural disaster areas in the US through phone calls, internet, etc.

? Maintain databases in support of natural disaster functions and products

? Provide GIS support in disaster data and products

? Possible field work and travel

 

REQUIREMENTS:

? Bachelors Degree or candidate in Geography preferred

? 1 - 2 years GIS experience required, experience in ESRI software ver. 9

? Ability to interpret and follow existing GIS processes and workflows

? Experience using query languages and relational databases, experience using Access

? Knowledge of spreadsheets, graphics, database and word processing software

? Good communication skills

? Organized and detail oriented

? Ability to stay concentrated and focused on project work

? Knowledge of basic map composition principles

? Knowledge of Census Geography
