Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Global Director of Information Technology is responsible for managing the information technology portfolio of Industrial Scientific to achieve its business objectives of:
? Delivering highest quality & best customer service, every transaction, every time
? Paying Employees First incentive every month
This position is responsible for strategically developing and supporting IT infrastructure across worldwide operations. Specific duties include:
? Integration of Industrial Scientific?s comprehensive gas monitor management solution (iNet) into customer-facing software applications and support of iNet infrastructure
? Establishing and maintaining support systems for MAPICS, Windchill, and Siebel foundational software
? Conducting continuous needs assessment of IT hardware
? Protecting Industrial Scientific?s digital assets / overseeing system security
? Managing communication mediums of the company ? phones, teleconferencing, VOIP
? Overseeing management of Corporate/Industrial Scientific-Americas infrastructure:
o 65 Windows Server 2003 servers (20 physical, 45 virtual)
o 14 Windows 2000 Server servers
o 8 VMWare ESX Servers (hosting 66 Virtual Machines)
o 4 Linux Servers (iNET)
o 1 IBM iSeries server (MAPICS)
Qualifications Required:
Education
? Bachelor?s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field (Master?s degree or MBA preferred)
Experience
? Minimum of eight years of IT-related work experience
? At least two years? experience in strategic IT leadership positions serving the needs of a global organization
? Strong experience with MAPICS, Siebel, and/or Windchill
? Strong accounting background
