COMPANY OVERVIEW

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Graphical User Interface and Web Designer to be added to a team of top notch developers working on a distributed streaming media publishing system. If you consider yourself an expert in Flash GUI design read on. Our system is purely web based and has been in existence for about 5 years. We are relocating into a gorgeous new building in Calabasas, just off the Parkway Calabasas off-ramp in walking distance from The Commons.

 

We have an incredible back-end that is missing an equally impressive front-end. This candidate will be focusing on expanding our user interface templates and reworking its functionality into a flash based front-end. This product will be a market leader in the next evolution of streaming media publications. The candidate should be a thought leader as well as team player to further enhance an already impressive publishing platform.  

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

-  Complete User Interface redesign

-  Work with programmers to develop underlying solution architecture insuring integration and interoperability of code.

-  Responsible for rapid prototyping and final front-end development

-  Be part of for code reviews, template generation, coding and front-end development

-  Utilizes user-centric design techniques and usability testing methods

-  Experienced in graphic optimization skills, web-based graphics and animation including gif, jpg, png and Flash

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

-  Establishing logos for various divisions

-  Complete Website Re-design

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

 

A successful candidate will have:

 

-  Experience working with a software development team to integrate Flash with existing back-end architecture,

-  Experience with web technologies such as HTML/XHTML/DHTML/CSS and XML (required)

-  Experience in working with Actionscript to Javascript communication and vice versa

-  2-4 years of experience in developing interactive menus and navigational controls as well as media display controls  

-  Experience with Flash streaming audio and video a plus.

-  Expert user of Photoshop/Illustrator

-  We are looking for an extremely creative design lead that is not afraid to think outside the box

QUALIFICATIONS

 

A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) required in Graphic Design, commercial art of related discipline.

 

4 years experience in an agency or corporate environment (communications/marketing/web) with proven track record
