Great Plains Report Writer/Programmer

Summary:

Individual will be responsible for the development of specifications, defining requirements, creating of reporting programs, customizing reports to meet management requirements, and testing to ensure data and report integrity. Reports to MIS management.

 

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

? defining report specifications and requirements

? writing programs, SQL queries, data extraction scripts, and other programmatic tools to support the generation of reports for management and others

? writing scripts to present report information through web interfaces

? web development to support specialized ad hoc report generation and corporate web initiatives

? testing and data validation to ensure data integrity and accuracy of reporting, including the development of testing scripts and validation of testing results

? maintenance of documentation libraries

? Desktop productivity tools experience (min 2 years).

? Microsoft Access and SQL-Server reporting

? Crystal Reports, or similar reporting tools

? Demonstrated technical documentation skills.

? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

? Demonstrated experience with web programming and web development

? Demonstrated experience with software development and testing procedures and methodologies

 

Required Qualifications, Education and Work Experience

 

? Three years demonstrated experience supporting the reporting environment as described above

? Undergraduate or associates degree in computer science or information systems

? Demonstrated experience/proficiencies may substitute for formal education at the discretion of the hiring manager
