The Contra Costa County Health Services Department is seeking qualified applicants to fill three (3) vacant positions in the Martinez office. This is an opportunity for creative and dynamic individuals to be a part of the Information Systems Team in an advanced Information Technology position.

The individuals hired for these positions are expected to perform the full range of systems analysis and documentation, data analysis and programming duties to develop and to support major, enterprise-wide, in-house clinical and financial systems and a centralized data warehouse, providing support for end-users and training, with major emphasis on Microsoft platforms including SQL Server 2000/2005 and Visual Studio 2002/2003/2005 dot-NEW, Windows server, network and mobile operating systems, web browsers, web services and web parts, including working with pre-release softwares such as WinFX, AJAX, Team System, Vista and Longhorn. This position may also provide lead direction and/or supervisor to Information Systems staff, as required

Candidate?s technical experience must include one (1) year in a health services environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science or information processing or closely related field.

Experience: Four (4) years of full-time (or the equivalent of full-time) experience performing software applications programming and/or systems analysis, one (1) year of which included programming responsibility and one (1) year of which must have been in a health services environment.

Substitution for Education: Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of two (2) years.

Substitution for Academic Major: One (1) additional year of qualifying experience may be substituted for the academic major.

Prior to employment, a background investigation will be conducted on all candidates. Fingerprints will be taken.
