HL7 Interface Analyst

A large Seattle healthcare organization is looking for a full-time Interface Analyst to join a small team responsible for the clinical and financial interfaces between numerous hospitals, clinics, and billing organizations. This team is responsible for gap analysis, specifications, workflow, and data analysis of the 15+ interfaces in place into the Epic Hyperspace suite. 50% of this job will include operational day to day issues and the other 50% will include project work. Specific responsibilities include: provide primary support in analysis and documentation of interface enhancements and fixes, interview systems users to document interface specifications for new system interfaces, communication liaison and problem reporting to outside system vendor, lead the implementation of product upgrades and releases as well as conversions, manage specific interface development projects to include project planning and project charters and timelines as well and facilitating resources and communication to the rest of the IT and business organizations.

Candidates must possess HL7 and Clinical Interface Analysis experience or Clinical Applications Analyst experience (with the interest in learning Interface work). Good documentation and technical writing experience is required. Experience communicating (verbally, by email, etc.) to both business end users as well as technical developers is required. Candidates must have project management ability to lead and manage small projects. Candidates must have a BS in a technical or analytical field with 3 years of experience working in a healthcare environment.
