HMI (Human Machine Interface) Software Engineer

Description: This position is for an Automation Specialist with an emphasis in reciprocating and centrifugal compressor controls and compressor station automation. The key duties of the positions are: design, develop, and maintain Wonderware InTouch, and Siemens WINCC HMI software applications which interface with Allen Bradley SLC, and ControlLogix PLCs, and Siemens S7-300 PLCs. Provide operational support of automation projects for natural gas transmission facilities and related plant type facilities. Perform field start-ups of the automation HMI software application electrical control systems as necessary. Develop control systems estimates, labor requirements and project schedule to be used by Project Management to develop the overall project. Conduct training sessions on compressor control system for Field Operations personnel.Provide technical support to field Control Specialists. This position will require travel.

 

Qualifications:

The position requires an Associates degree in Electronics with a minimum of 5 + years experience or 10 ? 12 years of equivalent technical experience in Natural Gas compressor automation projects. Proficiency required in Wonderware InTouch, Siemens WINCC, Allen-Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Siemens Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) used for compressor engine automation. Previous experience as a Certified System Integrator required. In addition to excellent troubleshooting skills, the candidate shall demonstrate abilities in developing complex programs using the PLC`s stated above.Proficiency with ProfiBus, DeviceNet, Data Highway Plus, ControlNet, MODBUS, and Ethernet interconnects to other intelligent industrial control devices is required. Proficiency required in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, etc) also.
