Our client, located on the beautiful island of Bermuda, is a rapidly growing and innovative IT consulting firm.  They have an immediate requirement for a Senior HP SAN Engineer to support their existing and prospective clients. The right candidate must enjoy doing both project and operational work. 

 

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

 Knowledge of the HP Storage Works Disk Array Family (XP, EVA, VA or MSA)Knowledge of the HP Storage Works Library Family (ESL, MSL)Knowledge on the software components for Disk Arrays and Tape Libraries. (CommandView, Secure Manager, Business Copy, Secure Path?)Excellent knowledge on High Availability and Performance in Storage Area NetworksKnowledge on I/O requirements during server and/or application backupExcellent knowledge on I/O performance requirements for HP-UX and WindowsKnowledge on clustering: ServiceGuard, MSCS,...Knowledge and understanding of databases and other complex applicationsExperience with big and critical environments and complex Storage Area Networks
Excellent team player. (Technical Leads for Backup and Storage Arrays)

 

The ideal candidate would ideally have additional skills in one or all of the following areas

 

VMWare GSX/ESX

MS Active Directory

Microsoft Exchange 2003

Citrix Presentation Server
