- Leading and directing multiple complete System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) projects, establishing project objectives, identifying resources, costs, time schedules, implementation plan, risk assessment and contingency plan, and criteria for evaluating project results and activities.
- For large-scale projects, directing the daily activities of multi-department employee and contract staff and third party vendors assigned to the project.
- Managing and implementing appropriate Human Resource information technology solutions to maximize productivity throughout the company.
- Negotiating, and coordinating contractual services required in application development and implementation, project planning and management, application area functional requirements, requirement analysis, and other elements of development or ongoing applications and process support efforts. Utilizing project management software (MS Project) and financial tools to plan and track project timelines and budgets.
- Negotiating project outcomes and deliverables to meet conflicting demands of time, money and deadlines.
- Managing accurate and timely transmissions of critical business information and work through any issues or problems as appropriate.
- Identifying, evaluating and making recommendations on existing data systems, data reporting, procedures and processes.
- Identifying problems, resolutions, trends, and impact on project success. Analyzing data for true causes of problems.
- Communicating with project stakeholders and sponsors project status, negotiate changes, and evaluate technical or procedural issues.
- Consulting with and assisting HR functional teams with needs analysis, process improvement implementation, and requirements definition.
- Evaluating and recommending business process redesign options, industry best practices and business model change options.
- Bringing closure to projects through consensus among the sponsors and users that all requirements have been met and adequately satisfied by the development team.
For the Sr. Project Manager position:
In addition to the above duties, will also be responsible for leading and developing HR Project Management Office. This is done by:
- Developing PMO Methodology.
- Developing Project Management Tools.
- Establishing and Managing a Common Resource Pool.
- Establishing a Portfolio Management Process.
- Developing Project Management Procedures/Coaching.
- Developing PMO Metrics.
- Implementing Earned Value Metrics.
- Managing Database of Project Metrics for Improved Estimating.
- Providing guidance to project managers on PMO methodology/process.
Qualifications
Project Manager:
- A Bachelor's degree is required in information systems or business administration.
- 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in the areas of Corporate HR and/or information systems.
- 4+ years of process engineering and business systems analysis.
- 3+ years of full SDLC project management and project leadership experience of large-scale cross-functional projects.
- 1+ years of experience with Pharmaceutical and/or related healthcare industry highly desirable.
- Sound experience managing multiple cross-functional projects while successfully meeting time deadlines and budget parameters.
- Experience in Human Resources with an understanding of multiple functions and their interaction is highly desirable.
- Experience with Lawson or HRMS equivalent is highly desirable.
- Experience with Docent or SumTotal LMS highly desirable.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Project/Tracking tool, Excel, Access, Word, Lotus Notes, PowerPoint, Visio and SQL+, Reading Object-Oriented Programming Languages, Client-Server, Intranet, Internet, and Database technologies.
Sr. Project Manager:
- A Bachelor's degree is required in information systems or business administration.
- PMP Certification, in good standing, is required.
- 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in the areas of Corporate HR and/or information systems.
