HRIS Administrator

Position Title: HRIS Administrator

Summary:

Manages the daily operation and support of a payroll and HRIS system for a national health care organization with operations in 18 states and 3,500 employees.  Integral implementation team member on the roll out of a new payroll and HRIS system.  Subsequent phases of the implementation will include manager and employee self-service.  Develops, implements, communicates and modifies system requirements.  Maintains internal database files and tables, and develops custom reports to meet the requirements of company management and staff.  Monitors and communicates process or system changes to impacted parties.  Gathers end user requirements and works closely with the benefits and payroll teams.  Designs and implements process improvements to maximize system utilization.

 

Essential Functions of the Position:Manages human resources information and provides procedures and best practices for administration of data.  Improves the effectiveness, efficiency and timeliness of information retrieval.Serves as the liaison between HRIS and end users.Facilitates communications with a wide variety of affected parties.Works closely with vendors on system updates and maintenance.Establish, implement and manage audit procedures to ensure data and system integrity.Design and implement process improvements to maximize system utilization.Manage web work flow process, web role administration, employee and manager self-service initiatives and systems, supports end users in remote locations.Coach, mentor and train end users to maximize HRIS understanding, proficiency and utilization.Create and implement automated processes to streamline various departmental administrative tasks.Develop, maintain and distribute standard and complex customized reports and a department metric tracking system.Responsible for HIPAA Security administration.

 

Key Skills:Knowledge and Experience
 - Work requires a level of knowledge equivalent to that obtained through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Business, HR, Information Systems or associated field.
 - 5 to 7 years combined experience in HRIS analysis, project management experience and HR functional experience.  Demonstrates knowledge of various field practices.

- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Access, and payroll and HRIS systems.

- Knowledge of human resource methods, procedures & operations; knowledge of compensation and benefits

Physical Requirements:Standard office environment with little physical lifting.Significant time on computer keyboard.
