Help Desk/ End of Day Processor

End of Day Processor/Help Desk ** 6 day work week **

General Summary

This is an entry level position, responsible for running a series of scripted computer operations that encompass the daily end of day processing, and assisting users in resolving everyday computing problems.

*** This position is full time (40 hours/week), and is required to work 6 days/week, Monday through Saturday (Monday ? Friday afternoons to evenings, and Saturday mornings) ***


Duties and Responsibilities -

1. Runs the bank end-of-day processing procedures, a disciplined, detailed process that requires someone who pays careful attention to detail.

2. Communicates technical problems to support staff via telephone.

3. Answers, evaluates, and prioritizes incoming telephone, voice mail, e-mail, and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.

4. Interviews users to collect information about problem and leads user through diagnostic procedures to determine source of error.

5. Handles problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up for routine user problems, referring more complex problems to supervisor or technical staff.

6. Logs and tracks calls using problem management database, and maintains history records and related problem documentation.


Performs any and all other duties assigned for which the employee is qualified and physically able to perform.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently. Prior experience with Windows operating systems, basic networking, and PC troubleshooting needed. Experience with an IBM i5 (AS/400) preferred. The ability to troubleshoot computer problems via the telephone is also required.
