Helpdesk / Network Administrator

Growing IT contractor needs to fill several positions in help desk, network admin & software development. We provide IT services to many businesses on Long Island and New York City and need good people to support our customers.  Several PT & FT opportunities available.

 

Applicant must possess the following qualities:

? Good attitude & work ethic

? Strong problem solving skills

? Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

? Professional appearance & ability to interact with customers

? Ability to learn & support new technologies quickly

? Have reliable transportation & be willing to travel throughout Suffolk County to work at customer locations (approximately 25-75% travel, depending on role)

One or more of the following technical skills:

? Working knowledge of Windows XP/2000 and all standard MS Office apps

? Working knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server

? Ability to communicate effectively with hardware and software vendors

? Very strong working knowledge of internet communications and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WINS, POP3)

? Desktop and laptop hardware and driver troubleshooting for various subsystems (wireless, sound, 3D video, PCMCIA cards, etc.)

? Windows 2003/2000 server & network administration

? Comptia A+

? Comptia Network+

? MCP

? MCSA

? MCSE

? CCNA
