I/S Specialist - Web Focus

Job Description:

* Provides WebFOCUS administration services to support WebFOCUS report development, report distribution and the server infrastructure.
* Installs releases, upgrades and patches and ensures a robust and reliable WebFOCUS reporting environment.
* Configures and tests WebFOCUS subsystems and services.
* Generates and manages WebFOCUS metadata.
* Implements and administers change management policies.
* Transports application components across the server landscape providing change control and auditing.
* Trouble shoots server and application issues, enables tracing, determines root cause and provides problem resolution.
* Assists developers and users with performance testing and tuning.
* Monitors and maintains operational readiness of reporting environment and provides after-hours or 24/7 support on a rotating basis or as-needed.
* Occasionally travels to provide training, receive training or attend user seminars
* Serves as liaison between Information Builders supports and Valero for reported issues. -Coordinates Beta program activities and performs initial testing


Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. Minimum five years of IT experience required. Experience must consist of IBI WebFOCUS self service and Managed Reporting development, WebFOCUS server and MRE administration, WebFOCUS Resource Management, Windows NT/2003/XP, IIS, Apache Tomcat, HTML, Java Script, Visual Source Safe, SQL, MS Word, Excel, and Access. Experience in WebFOCUS 713, SAP BW, Visual Basic, JAVA, Oracle PL/SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oil Refining/Marketing business/operations preferred. Must be able to provide after-hours or 24/7 support on a rotating basis or as needed. Must be able to travel on an as-needed basis.

CANDIDATES WITH GREATER QUALIFICATIONS MAY BE CONSIDERED FOR A HIGHER LEVEL POSITION.
