I.T. Architect

SUMMARY: A large energy client is seeking an I.T Architect for their team.

DESCRIPTION:

An information technology architect maintains a current, high-level documented representation of the company?s information technology architectural plan as driven by the company?s and Systems department?s business plans.

The architect will:

-Research and advise of new technologies and trends that may enhance the plan
-Manage and assist with lab tests in an R&D environment to verify new technologies
-Educate and communicate knowledge gained to the Systems staff
-Provide consulting support to Systems operating departments as requested
-Project future information technology growth and conduct capacity planning and requirement studies

REQUIREMENTS:

-Candidates must be proficient in Visio and have a minimum of 6 years of progressively more complex Systems Design and Architecture experience
-Cisco CCNP certification.
-Prefer candidates who have a bachelor's degree in computer science
-CCDP certification
-Microsoft MCSE 2003 certification
-Must have experience in a large Cisco environment consisting of switches, routers, PIX firewalls, and VPN concentrators
-Experience with Cisco VolP, application design, and Database Management Systems
(Oracle and SQL Server) would be considered a plus
