I. T. Associate – Software Testing

Job Duties


This candidate will perform product testing activities on UPS's OnLine WorldShip system.  They will be responsible to assist in maintaining and implementing the test methods and procedures necessary for the verification of the WorldShip shipping application.  Candidate will write programs of low complexity matching detailed specifications and develop, execute and analyze unit test plan for low complexity assignments.


Knowledge and Skills


Requires excellent technical skills, including knowledge of the software development lifecycle and testing methodology.  Must have knowledge of C/C++, good oral and written communication, planning, organizing, problem-solving, accountability and initiative skills. QA experience in a software development environment highly desireable.  Requires good knowledge of programming languages and testing concept skills.  The level of proficiency of each skill should be appropriate for the job position.




BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Do you have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science/related discipline or the equivalent in education and work experience? Do you have 0-1 year of programming experience? Do you have any relatives who work for UPS or any of its Subsidiaries? Are you a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer? Do you have at least 6 months experience with C/C++?
