I/T Database Analyst

USAA is currently seeking a talented I/T Database Analyst for our San Antonio, TX location.

As an I/T Database Analyst for USAA, you will provide data and database management expertise in the development and maintenance of data required by the company.

Qualified candidates will possess:

Strong conceptual, analytical and organizational skills.

Strong data management experience to include data mapping and analysis, dimensional analysis, defining data quality and standards and logical data modeling.

Strong relational and dimensional modeling experience.

Strong data modeling experience with operational, analytical and reporting data stores.

Demonstrated physical data modeling and database design and implementation skills.

Metadata management to include processes for capturing and defining data, data standards, modeling meta model and documentation.

Willingness to work in a fast paced environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal, leadership, initiative and problem solving skills.

IT related bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Preferred experience includes:
3-5 years of relational data modeling experience in support of full life cycle relational DBMS.
3-5 years of dimensional modeling experience with full life cycle data warehousing to include data integration and staging, data mart (both star schema and snowflake schema design) and implementation.
2-5 years of data modeling experience with object oriented applications.
2-5 years of experience in designing databases for DB2 on IBM mainframe, UDB, Oracle and SQL Server databases.
