Come join our successful, growing company!  A challenging and dynamic opportunity currently exists in our fast-paced Corporate Office for an I.T. Manager.  This position  will insure the efficient operation of the company?s I.T. Department; including overseeing the planning, design, implementation and operation of the network and telecommunications system.

 

Primary Duties Include:

  Designs and implements operational processes -- including crisis management, system operations, system support, system management, and system administration activities.  Promotes standards, efficiency, quality, security and compliance in all aspects of I.T. operations.

  Actively partners with internal and external business partners to deliver new capabilities and services.  Negotiates and manages vendor contracts.

  Analyzes the needs of the department to determine the necessity for development of new or modified systems.  Explores new technologies for future planning and potential implementation.

  Manages the company?s servers, network, website, and telecommunications system.  Performs server and network maintenance and upgrades.

  Identifies user needs and directs department workload appropriately.  Provides technical leadership and guidance to promote operational excellence.

  Manages the scope, schedule, budget, and communication for concurrent projects.

  Stays current with latest developments in software, hardware, and services provided by ISPs and recommends upgrades and alternatives to more effectively meet client requirements.

  Troubleshoots infrastructure issues; makes recommendations to improve capacity and stability.  Ensures security of the infrastructure.

  Establishes and publishes corporate I.T. infrastructure and desktop standards.

 

 

Job Requirements:

 

Education:

Bachelor?s Degree in  computer-related discipline; or equivalent related business experience.

MCSE Certification required

 

 

Experience:

  Minimum of 5 years IT managerial experience; logistics/transportation experience preferred

  Experience with Microsoft Technologies, website design and maintenance, and data conversion projects.

  Familiarity with Microsoft network, Active Directory 2003, Exchange 2003, operating system and database environments.

  Working knowledge of data networks, client-server systems, personal computers, Internet protocols, network management, and information/network security; as well as SQL, firewalls, routers, email, virus protection, data storage/retrieval, and network printing.

  Excellent problem solving, strategic analysis, and project management skills required.

  Capability of working successfully in a multi-project, deadline driven, rapid growth/fast-paced environment.

  Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills essential.

  Integration and development, package implementation, knowledge of multiple technologies including (but not limited to): HTML, DHTML, XML, JavaScript, Java, Visual Basic, PL/SQL/.NET.
