DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR (DBA) SPECIALIST

Primary responsibilities: include; integration, installation, support and maintenance of IMS software at customer sites.
Contribute to and maintain technical support process for INSTACOUNT users that includes documentation and training.
Assist in maintaining the in-house IMS server and databases
Administer and maintain the in-house instacount PLUS? installations
Develop processes required by LAN and WAN installations
Update & maintain ?Inception through Commencement? plan for IC projects relating to the area of information technology
Provide IT technical support to in-house and remote IMS & Services staff
Train users on the proper setup and use of IMS software applications
Provide new databases for upcoming hospital projects
Provide contract pricing to customer databases before installation
Burn database(s) and software application onto a CD for customer
Write SQL and MS Access scripts to transfer data from the customer?s Sybase database to new MS SQL database
Install and setup IMS software and hardware, traveling to customer site(s) when necessary Dial-in and support customers as needed

Requires a BS in Computer Science or Business Data Processing; experience with creating and managing Relational Databases specifically using MS SQL Server, MS Access and other SQL data platforms. Must also demonstrate competence working with Structured Query Language (SQL)
Must have experience administering database applications
Must have experience developing applications using the Visual Basic Development environment, including Crystal Reports report writer
Must have a strong understanding of networks, communications and networking protocols
Possess strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills
Microsoft Windows networking and Microsoft server experience required
Basic understanding of S.A.P.
