INFORMATION SECURITY MANAGER

Provide security program and project management through maintaining program objectives, mapping objectives to current initiatives, prioritizing work efforts, and measuring progress toward program goals. Provide oversight on critical project activities through allocation of resources, maintaining project plans, identifying and tracking dependencies and issues within and across projects, and reporting progress to senior management. Liaise with operational staff to insure new technologies, applications and security systems are appropriately assimilated into operational workflows and that cross-training needs are met. Work with MIS and business management to insure alignment of priorities and plans to meet key business objectives. Manage a highly technical, motivated staff toward accomplishment of Company and personal development goals.

 

? Ten or more years of relevant business experience with increasing responsibility for information security, compliance, and/or IT governance.
? Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree or certification preferred, particularly in the areas of information security, audit or compliance.
? Five years or more in a management position with responsibility for personnel management, planning and prioritizing, budgeting, and organizational development in a dynamic business environment.
? Track record of adherence to high standards of ethical behavior, integrity and personal responsibility, and ability to make sound business judgments.
? Demonstrated mastery of project management and scheduling principles and techniques, with a proven track record of accomplishment though coordination of resources toward successful completion of objectives.
? Experience with risk assessment techniques and tools, and understanding of a risk management approach to information security.
? Proven ability to coach, direct and develop individuals toward achievement of personal, departmental and Company goals.
? Proven ability to schedule and assign resources, and track and manage activities to meet company priorities in a complex, changing environment.
? Understanding of, and ability to apply and manage, control frameworks such as ISO 17799, CObIT, ITIL.
? Above average interpersonal, communication, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills at all levels of the organization.
? Demonstrated analytical, decision making and problem solving abilities.
? Prior procedural/workflow development and management experience helpful.
? Broad knowledge of CGI systems, platforms and business functions preferred.
? Able to manage group dynamics, facilitate effective team interaction, and maintain effective interrelationships with other areas of the Company.
? Excellent organizational, time management and documentation skills.
