INFRASTRUCTURE ARCHITECT

Position Title:  Infrastructure Architect
Location: Mt. Laurel, NJ

 

We are looking for a Windows 2003 client/server infrastructure Architect with responsibilities including:  Active Directory, Exchange, IIS, and Citrix infrastructures.  Lead server infrastructure design for new JV implementations and post-acquisition integration and conversion.  Actively participate in root-cause identification and resolution for production issues as needed.  Work closely with the Data Center personnel and Corporate IT staff to define and implement processes for effective administration and monitoring of production servers.  Work closely with internal IT resources, strategic partners, Corporate staff, and customers to review infrastructure needs, set technical direction, and resolve chronic production issues. Actively participate in architecture reviews for capital projects and lights-on support.

 

Responsibilities:
"Understand business needs and direction on a continuous basis.  Work with IT management team to respond to business needs in a strategic and tactical manner.
"Set technical direction for the infrastructure to support the business.  Actively participate in strategic and tactical planning process covering capital projects as well as lights-on support.
"Drive architecture review for capital and expense projects from infrastructure perspective.  Ensure performance, reliability, scalability, and availability (PRAS) characteristics meet or exceed business needs.
"Plan, implement, and lead the integration/migration of additional business units into the server infrastructure.
"Work closely with IBM data center personnel to ensure a seamless working relationship between data center, system administration, and monitoring.
"Take ownership of chronic or recurring client/server issues and develop/implement an action plan to find root-cause and the solution.
"Define processes, standards, and metrics to monitor, manage, and improve the infrastructure
